Using the marketplace

Carvex is an advertising platform. We introduce buyers and sellers; we do not own, inspect or sell the vehicles advertised, and we are not party to the sale contract between you and the other person.

Your account

• You must be 18 or over and give accurate details.
• Keep your password private — you are responsible for activity on your account.
• We may suspend accounts that break these terms or the seller terms.

Reservations and payments

A reservation deposit takes a car off the market for a short period by agreement with the seller. Deposits are taken by our payment provider, and refunds or cancellations are agreed between buyer and seller. We charge a platform fee of 1.5% on deposits and online payments. We do not hold money in escrow and we do not provide regulated financial protection.

Content and conduct

• Only advertise vehicles you are entitled to sell.
• No misleading descriptions, altered mileage claims or duplicated adverts.
• No harassment, spam or attempts to move buyers off the platform to avoid protections.

Liability

We provide the marketplace as-is. We are not liable for the condition, legal status or history of any vehicle, nor for losses arising from a private sale. Nothing here limits rights you have under UK consumer law.
