What we collect
- Account details: name or dealership name, email address, optional phone number.
- Location: postcode and the area you choose to display on adverts.
- Marketplace activity: adverts, saved cars, messages, reservations and reports.
Why we use it
To run your account, publish your adverts, connect buyers with sellers, process reservation payments, and keep the marketplace safe from fraud and abuse.
Sharing
We share your public profile and advert details with other users, and payment details with our payment provider when you reserve a car. We do not sell your personal data.
Keeping it and your rights
We keep account data while your account is open, and marketplace records for a reasonable period afterwards. You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your data by emailing hello@carvex.example. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Messages and safety
Messages sent through the marketplace may be reviewed when they are reported, so we can act on scams and abuse.
This is a prototype marketplace. The wording on this page is a plain-English placeholder and is not legal advice; it should be reviewed by a solicitor before any real launch.
